VRAD Co., Ltd. has been actively launching two products in overseas markets: NS_Core, a South Korean-made virtual reality core nursing education simulator, and IP_Trauma, a critical injury care simulator, which are well-known in South Korea. The devices support multiple languages, including Korean, English, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Kazakh, German, and plan to support Spanish and French by the end of this year.

NS_Core is a realistic clinical simulation method that can conduct a variety of clinical exercises with virtual patients in a virtual environment with nursing skills education content using Meta’s virtual reality headset.

The service is characterized by its realism that organizes learning and conducts in a virtual space, using metaverse simulation to solve the difficulties in medical practice for nursing training in nursing college curricula.

NS_Core is a collaborative development between the nursing departments of comprehensive hospitals and university hospitals. It focuses on 20 nursing skills, including core nursing skills essential for nursing students, and enables students to enhance their clinical knowledge and competence through continuous iterative learning.

The IP_Trauma section will help to train effectively and conveniently through simulating virtual situations regarding training in various areas where it is difficult for medical personnel to develop expertise, such as various medical procedures necessary for treating seriously injured patients, how to use medical equipment, judgment of situations and decisions of doctors, as well as cooperation between medical personnel and real-time communication.

IP_Trauma is developed using the ATLS protocol as a standard, which is widely recognized as the international standard for trauma care, in collaboration with several renowned universities/hospitals in South Korea. With a virtual clinical simulation method that can facilitate training through simulating response situations, the atmosphere and results will vary depending on the practitioner’s choice and treatment efficiency.

In the simulator, multiple users can communicate in real time and learn how to judge medical situations, make doctor’s decisions and provide first aid to seriously injured patients in a realistic environment. More than 40 different processes can be simulated, from preparation before the injured patient arrives at the hospital to the process of moving the patient to the admission room. The simulation controller will prepare the situation for the user in real time via the control console or provide additional instructions directly to the user and control the simulation situation.

VRAD is currently one of the leading medical VR businesses in South Korea, with more than 90 domestic and international medical institutions and educational institutions using its products.
